Its core component integrates a laser transmitter (TOSA) and a light detector (ROSA), which separate light signals of different wavelengths through a built-in WDM filter or splitter: downlink 1490nm light is reflected to the detector through the filter, and uplink 1310nm light is emitted by the laser through the filter.
